From ticketing systems to
direct SAP-IBP collaboration

How an industrial company replaced ticket-based communication with direct exchange and significantly accelerated response times and planning processes.

01 Challenges

Impersonal advice and changing contact persons

Prior to partnering with TIVTAL, the company worked with a large consulting firm. This collaboration was increasingly perceived as unsuitable. Contact persons changed frequently, and topics and processes constantly required re-explanation. Communication relied primarily on ticketing systems, involving individuals located around the world and speaking different languages; personal interaction was lacking when problems arose.

Therefore, a more direct consulting partner was deliberately sought, one that was a better fit for the organization.

„Die Ansprechpartner haben sich sehr häufig geändert, sodass man Themen wieder neu anfangen musste und die Personen teilweise selbst einarbeiten musste.“

02 Solution approach with TIVTAL

Direct consultation with personal exchange

With TIVTAL, the client opted for personalized, German-language SAP IBP consulting, with direct communication between key users, IT, and consultants. Instead of mere implementation, the focus was on contributing to the project's expertise. Requirements were actively questioned, feedback was provided on planned approaches, and relevant SAP IBP developments were transparently presented.

"It's important for us to get feedback on whether what we're planning actually makes sense, not just on implementation."

03 Results in everyday life

Schnellere Reaktionszeiten und vereinfachte Prozesse

The greatest improvements were evident in day-to-day operations. Response times to problems were significantly reduced, and solutions were often provided faster than contractually agreed. Many small adjustments now noticeably simplify daily business.

A concrete example from the planning phase illustrates the effect:

"For certain short-term adjustments, we now only need about 2 minutes for a product instead of 2-3 hours."

TIVTAL was also able to present complex processes in a significantly simplified way:

“Previously, our processes filled an entire DIN A3 sheet. With TIVTAL, they ultimately fit on half a DIN A4 page and were much easier to understand .”
